All drivers 11:99 and quicker will be required to have commercially manufactured helmet restraint such as Lifeline. All drivers 11:99 and quicker must have a DOT or a FAA Physical. Rope deflectors need to be on a 45-degree angle above the highest point of the boat. All drivers will be responsible for any equipment belonging to the KDBA that they damage. Drivers who do not answer roll call will be fined $20.00. When proving in a class you only have to prove that you can run as fast as the class. Steering cables ran on a pulley system must have the pulley guards close enough so that the cable cannot get off the pulley. Boats quicker than 9.99 must have lifejackets certified every two years. Driver must wear Medical Tag.MANDATORY EQUIPMENT:
Helmet "SNELL 80" Specification. International orange is preferred, eye protection, kill switch, long sleeve shirt and pants, fire extinguisher, Lifeline type jackets for boats over 100 M.P.H., or quicker than 11:99. Class 3 jackets for boats less than 100 M.P.H. all boats must be equipped with a rope deflector. Jet boats quicker than 10:00 ET must have a ratchet or pop off valve and a bronze or stainless impeller, hydros and flatbottoms quicker than 10:00 must have a whirlaway. A 5 lb. fire extinguisher with a 10 B.C. rating is required to be in the rear of all tow vehicles.MOTELS: In Owensboro:
